A huge tip of the hat to Big Boi for working outside the Hip-Hop bubble and making a track with Phantogram. One second A$AP Rocky and Big Boi are trading verses over a teeth clenching instrumental, the next we're in a free fall chorus sung by Phantogram.
Vicious Lies and Dangerous Rumors will be released December 11.
A$AP Rocky fans are either going to love or hate that their favorite self-proclaimed pretty boy rapper is now doing collaborations with players from the big league. Everyone is entitled to their opinion of course, mine happens to be very favorable on this move. I can't think of any rapper who would pass up the chance to share a stage with Rihanna during the 2012 VMA's.
A$AP's one lucky man. Born To Die has sold over 455K in the US but it's seeing better success in other nations. Over 1.5M in Brazil and its still the fastest selling album of the year in the UK.
"Ridin'" has had its share of history. Originally slated to be on The Kickdrums mixtape until it got pulled. Now its back again, this time in its entirety and has every one guessing it's going to be on A$AP's LongLiveA$AP (September 11).
Lana's sultry vocals and The Kickdrums' almost nostalgic production make this one. I love how they were able to capture her tradmark vintage style and Rocky's chill.
Clammy Clams is not only one of the hottest producers right now but also one unselfish dude. Below you'll find a download to his "Instrumental Mixtape 2" which has full beats for songs that he's done for A$AP Rocky, Lil B, Mac Miller, and more. There's a couple remixes thrown in as well. His production is so unique, and when you hear it without the accompanying verses, it really makes you appreciate the originality of him and the artists that he's worked with.
Legends in the making. Directed by ICU and A$AP Rocky. His debut album is scheduled for a September release.
I didn't want to post A$AP twice in an hour but this is too much of a banger. Easily my favorite Theophilus London track so far. This track took quite a while to drop because the sample that it used set them back as far as clearance goes. I'm happy that it was able to get worked out because... well just click play and you'll understand.
This is from Theo's Lover's Holiday II: Rose Island which drops May 15.
Jiggy is indeed the perfect word to describe A$AP Rocky's debut single produced by the same guy who brought you "Niggas in Paris", Hit-Boy. The wobbly beat is accompanied with some superstar flows, LongLiveA$AP drops July.
I really hope the name of the song is an allusion to that white girl in his "Purple Swag" video.
