Passion Pit's album Gossamer was recently released. If you've been a fan since their debut then you'll notice that they tried to stand out less this time around. The end result was an eh impression for me, but "Constant Conversations" was one of the songs I enjoyed more.
Stream: Passion Pit - Gossamer
I've never been a fan of these pre-album release streams, listening to the album after I own it on release day is much more of an experience for me. But for those who just can't wait, NPR has a full album stream of Passion Pit's Gossamer, which isn't due until July 24, up now. Enjoy.
Passion Pit - I'll Be Alright
Here's the second single from Passion Pit's next album Gossamer which comes out in the US on July 24. Fans will hear the similarity to the Passion Pit sound that they've grown accustomed to, but the vocals still seem more easy on the ears like their first drop from Gossamer sounded. A lot of rhytmic energy in this one; I really hope they can live up to the legend that was Manners. Right now I'm not sure.
New: Passion Pit - Take a Walk
I don't think I could begin to describe how much I love Passion Pit and the sound they poured onto the world with their album Manners in 2009. Finally, after over a year of being pushed back, their second album Gossamer is nearly ready for consumption by the hoards of electronic/indie lovers who have been patiently waiting for their follow up. "Take a Walk" is an energy filled optimistic lead single that's missing some very distinct Passion Pit qualities like the singer's distinct edgy falsetto which turned off a lot mainstream listeners.
Maybe their target population this time is a larger crowd. Album release date is July 24.
