Video: ScHoolBoy Q - Druggys WitH Hoes Again (featuring Ab Soul)

ScHoolBoy Q is at it again with another video drop. I'm a huge fan of how he switches up the flow in every song which he actually stated was something he took from Jay-Z and elaborated on.

I got [my rhyme style] from Jay-Z though. If you really listen to Jay-Z, he has a new sound every time he raps. It’s never the same. He might use a little swag, but it’s always like a different flow. So that’s all I try to do

We're big on this guy here.

Life Size Maps - Weird Luck

Life Size Maps is a Brooklyn-based indie band that was recently brought to my attention. I didn't have any expectations when I listened to the band's material, but after a few seconds of listening to the song Weird Luck, I was impressed and paying attention. I enjoyed the guitar work and layering of Weird Luck and the band has some catchy hooks present as well. Life Size Maps recently released their Weird Luck EP and I have to say I liked all three songs on it. I am looking forward to hearing more of the band's work in the upcoming future. In the meantime, check out the band's Weird Luck EP and download it for free. Also, like the band's Facebook page for updates. Take a listen to Weird Luck below:

Remix: Avicii - Levels in REVERSE (George Monev Edit)

This is really cool and might even set the trend for 2012. George Monev got bored one day, maybe threw down one too many and decided he wanted to know what "Levels" would sound like if the strings in the hook were reversed. To find out the answer you'll have to click play.

In other news: WZRD is out today, and so is Fanfarlo's latest album Rooms Filled With Light. You can also get "Climax" by Usher and Diplo as a single now as well.

Chiddy Bang - Zeros

Honestly, I don't know how much I liked Chiddy Bang's Breakfast which was released last week. It racked up a 4.5 star rating from listeners on iTunes, it has all the elements that made them catapult to the point where the duo is at now. But I think I'm sort of growing over that formula. I want something new now, the production was stellar as usual, but I think Chiddy is going to need to step up the lyrical game and find some new flows if they really want to blow.

For those who are just discovering Chiddy Bang, the album is probably going to be a breath of fresh air and is going to impress. Fans from the beginning are probably going to love the album too, but for me, I think a release in the bigger leagues requires a step up from your previous work. The production is stand out from to start to finish, but it's getting harder for it to make up for bars.

Here's their latest drop "Zero" which is not on the album, you can grab Breakfast off iTunes or stream on Spotify.

Mashup: The Hood Internet - Polish City (Tyga x Neon Indian) + I'm Gone (featuring Big Sean)

I know, I know. Anything that has to do with "Rack City" by now has everyone pinching their nose and flipping their heads away. But give Tyga's monster single one more chance with this excellent mashup brought to you by The Hood Internet. They're on a role lately.

I asked some people if they checked out his album released last week, most of them laughed and thought I was joking. The ones who did however all gave the same response that I have, "Wow... he's actually taking this seriously". Careless World definitely caught me off guard because of all the precedents set before its release.

Being a Young Money artist comes with a lot of stereotypes, it's nice to see one more artist pull away from that. Give it a listen if you haven't, it's not changing the game by any means, but the Hip-Hop pipeline has been a little slower than usual so the timing is just right. I've included "I'm Gone", one of my favorites from the album below.

Gotye - Somebody I Used To Know (Feat. Kimbra)

I've heard this song by Australian artist Gotye a bunch of times in the last week and every time I hear it makes me stop and listen to it. Somebody I Used To Know isn't a obviously catchy song or loud or even fast-paced, but something about it makes me listen to it and like it. Take a listen to the song below and see what you think:

Video: Bon Iver - Towers

Here's another beautiful set of visuals by Bon Iver from their self entitled album. Speaking of towers, if anyone knows what's up with the tree-tower structures that have popped up a little after the entrance for UNF please shed some light!

New: Arctic Monkeys - R U Mine (Video)

A new track by Arctic Monkeys was released today by the band. It appears to be a standalone song, not from the band's latest album that came out last year. R U Mine is a nice surprise by the band, though it's a few weeks past Valentine's Day. This is very much an Arctic Monkeys song and it's catchy as expected. Alex Turner's vocals are a big part of the band's catchiness and they're good as usual in this song. The video for R U Mine is pretty funny and not to be taken seriously at all. Watch the video above and if you like what you hear, buy the song via iTunes.

Reptar - Sebastian

This song makes me pretty happy, much needed on a day like this. "Sebastian" is their lead single off of their debut album Body Faucet dropping on May 1, 2012 and will feature production from Ben Allen, the same guy who produced for Animal Collective and Washed Out.
